Was in a LGS this afternoon and saw the title gun in a case marked $395. Asked to see it, bluing in excellent condition (refinish...dunno?) as were the Magna stocks. Excellent double action pull (no gauge, but maybe 5-6# or less, with the single action pull no more than 1 1/2#!! Obviously, 'someone' has worked on this gun. Tight lockup all around. The frame, beneath the cylinder near and under the crane end is a very small stamping of "Davidsons Prescott AZ". The guy showing it to me said that marking was (by law) the name of the importer of the gun that had once/originally been exported out of the US to another country and now returned to the US. The trigger and hammer showed some evidence of being 'cleaned up' with a 'Scotchbrite' or such, the CC did not show much. Bore and chambers looked excellent.
Serial number D286464 dates it to when? I'm guessing a letter would be required to tell where the gun originally shipped (maybe??). Seemed like a decent price for a decent condition gun...with an 'outstanding' trigger!
What say you experts?
P.S. BTW...pencil barrel (maybe they all were?).
