I picked up a Model 10-5 blued snubbie at the local gun shop yesterday and would appreciate someone looking up the manufacture date for me.
S# D869XXX.

It has a good amount of wear on the cylinder and barrel but very little pitting and some scratches. It's definately shooter grade but very tight. I may use some oxpho-blue on it.

I had been looking for a decent .38 snub nose for a while and this one was a decent but not great price. I just don't see too many in this area.

Thanks.

Looks like 1969, Happenstance. Square or round?

I have a blued 10-5 snub square butt in excellent shape. Love the revolver--but it's almost too nice to carry. Shoots very well.

Enjoy it.

Sorry, round butt.

I had a M-10 in nickel about 25 years ago and really liked it but being poor AND dumb traded it.

Thanks.

Not to dispute you bellevance,I appreciate it, but did a search on 10-5 and found an older thread with a member whose serial # began with the same 4 digits and he said 1976. No big deal just wondering.

Could anyone else confirm?

Thanks again.

Thanks pred. I graduated high school in 76.

It's held up about as well as me (kinda rough around the edges).
