Hi all,

I just picked up a Model 10-6 off of armslist for $250 to replace a 10-10 that I regretfully sold.

The seller said it was a Royal Malaysian Police trade in. It has definitely seen use.

It is marked JP 336 in front of the trigger guard. I heard this was Jordanian Police, but am unsure.
The S/N is 3D12271. It is also marked 23303 on the crane.

I have two questions:

1. Does anyone know what the JP marking is? Is it actually Jordanian Police?

2. What's the actual year? I looked and there is no information for the 3D prefix. 2D ends in 1978 and 4D begins in 1979.

Thanks,
Nick

It should have an import stamp of the US company who imported/bought it if the gun belonged to an overseas entity.

JP model 10

I have a 10-7(AWE86XX) JP 1297 that was bought at J&G in Prescott minus the barrel. It's stamped CAI(century) below it. I attached a picture. Buying the barrel and having a gunsmith install it cost me the same as the frame.

Maybe an email to century would solve the mystery?

Now you got me curious about where it came from too!

Fred

I thought all of these "JP" reolvers came into this country as 10-7's without the barrels, which were originally 2 inch, but removed for export from Canada, which no longer allows the two inch barrel, even for police. Please add any information that I am wrong with this conclusion. I have two that I rebarreled with two inch barrels, and then cerrakoted them.
