While setting up for a show today, I noticed a mint 10-7 three inch on the table next to me. This revolver is just beautiful and screamed to me. Is $550 too much? I think I can talk the man down some, as he is getting rid of a lot of his stuff, what is a fair price?

Most of these were recent Australian police re-imports, so an un(visibly) used one would be unusual to me and probably worth $550. Hard to be sure it hasn't had a barrel change unless he has the original box.

Prices on three-inch barrel K-Frames aren't going down any time soon. If $550 is the starting place for negotiation, you almost can't lose.

10-7 should be a thin barrel gun, not nearly as many of those with 3'' barrel as the 10-6 and 10-8 heavy barrel.

Last year I sold my 10-5 3'' 99%'er for $700, so with that I'd say $550 is real good place for you to start finding a deal.

ETA, it sold as gun only, no box, dox, etc

For one in that condition, the price sounds like it is in the ballpark.

The thing is, if you plan to carry it, you may want to look for one of the re-imports with a finish that shows it has been used but not abused and save a hundred or so.

Actually, I did not purchase the revolver. I think it will be at the next show. I currently do carry a 10-7 reimported from Australia, so really like the 10-7. I saw a model 10, mint, with six inch barrel and got it for $350, and an M14-3, six inch, excellent for $325. Fortunately I made some sales to buy these two.
