CAN ANY ONE GIVE ME A D.O.B. MODEL 10 SERIAL# C 6429X UNDER BARREL,FRAME & WHEEL ALL HAVE SAME SERIAL #. THANKS I'LL TAKE PICS LATER I JUST GOT TODAY.

P.S. IT IS A 5 SCREW.

if you have posted the correct 5 digit serial number, C6429X, then the gun was shipped in 1950, however that's not a Model 10, it a Model of 1905, 4th change, also known as a "Pre-Model 10" by some collectors. Ed. #15

With as many of these S&W produced condition is very, very important when guestimating value. I did a very good friend a favor by selling him one about the same vintage as your for 300.00. That one was not ANIB but it was very close. I could have gotten somewhere north of 425.00 if I was really looking ot sell it for what it was worth. In a gunshow vendor, gun/pawnshop sale 380.00 wasn't a bad deal or a steal IMO. Either way it don't signify, your gun has enough wear that you can shoot the snot out of it without worries and in good enough condition to show off proudly. Even if you had paid way too much for it, I promise you after a few range sessions or less you will decide to never sell it at (almost) any price.
