Local gun shop got a used one in.
It is a four inch pencil barrel model 10 with no dash.
It has a pinned barrel and the
half circle front sight with a ramp
on the back side (sorry, dont know
what that type of front sight is called.)
Serial number on the butt says
C 495xxx.
Figuring it is about 85%, can someone
give a fair price on it. The shop owner
wants 350.00 for it.
Looking at the pictures of Model 10s here,
I ASSUME it is probably about 1960 manifacture?
If anyone has any other information about the gun, I would love to hear it.

Price sounds high to me for an 85% model 10. That was a police issue gun so there should be a million used ones out there. I have a mint condition nickle 10 from around 1967 and a gun shop appraised it at $250, of course they would low ball a little.

As a blind guess, I would not give more than $250 for a used blue 10 with 85% wear condition on it. I suspect they could be had for $200.

You did't mention anything about the grips, they should have diamonds, there is a mod. 10-6 on Rimfirecentral for $275 its a police trade in, and I think thats a little high plus the outrageous shipping price of $30.00.
