Model 10 serial number date

I just purchased a real nice Model 10 in the box with all the paperwork. It is stamped Mod 10, there is no dash or other number. The serial number is C4972xx. If someone could give me a year of manufacture I would appreciate the help. Thank you.

1961 is probably the year. I think the ser.# is too early to be a 1962.

One of my main areas of curiosity about the gun is it is the first Model 10 I have seen that does not have a dash and number after the Mod 10 stamplng. The gun is in excellent condition , the Nox-Rust wrapper and the cleaning rod and attachments along with all the factory paperwork is in the box. I did not hesitate to buy it, I was out the door for under $300.

Forgot to add that it is a 4 screw gun, it does have the trigger gaurd screw.
