Good evening and merry Christmas! Just wanted to throw up a little work I did for a great customer. This is a 10-8 3" round butt and when he dropped it off I immediately fell in love. I've got a model 10 4" heavy square now that's going to see a round butt conversion, bobbed hammer, shortening the barrel to 3.5 and a dovetail front sight. I've got some other cool stuff planned but that's for another thread. Anyways back to this beauty. Work performed included 30lpi added to the back strap, removed trigger serrations, slick on the action, front sight insert and chamfered charge holes.

Nice work I just gave my father in law a 10-6 4" heavy barrel for christmas. It's a little rough but he is happy with it this far.

Very well done. Nice, smooth checkering. Like that stuff. Good work on the insert, too. Most folks do not think to angle the cuts to add a measure of adhesion. Smooth trigger! Woof. I have been cutting and polishing metal for the better part of 4 1/2 decades. I know what I like, sir. I like the work. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you very much sir! It is greatly appreciated! I do a massive amount of 1911 work but I LOVE my Smith's. Thankfully I have a few more cool ones in the safe coming up soon!

If you are referring to the dovetail shape that's the best way to do it, plus it looks factory.

I usually punch a few dimples onto the face of the cut for the epoxy to grab onto for even more adhesion.

Nice job on all of it!
