I had one with a cracked frame. Bought & sold it at a flea market at a time when I was less knowledgeable (mid 90's) and didn't carry around a flashlight. Crack wasn't super obvious, and lighting in the building was poor. Still have the nickel one I bought for its replacement.

I was just watching this video and found out, Apparently, SW briefly offered a small run (500?) of k frame nightguards aka the 315 ng
This would be the closest thing to a modern model 12.
