I'm looking at a model 14 for sale and I'm hoping someone here can help answer a couple questions for me? The seller says the serial number is 14k25XX. What is the year of manufacture for a 2500 serial number? Also, can someone show me what type of grips would come with that model/year? Any idea on vlaue for one in excellent condition? Thanks everyone!

The 14K prefix puts this as shipped in 1977. It probably shipped with checkered walnut Magna stocks, no diamond around the stock screw. I would guess its value at $450 depending on its exact condition, higher if it is a 98% gun with the box and contents. Hope this is helpful.

Perfect, Thanks much!

I agree with what Alan has told you. I would add that the gun you are looking at is probably a Model 14-4. It should have a pinned barrel.
I'm attaching a photo of some Model 14 revolvers made in that same time period. The middle gun was made the same year as your revolver. The bottom one is a dash 3 that letters to 1973. The top one letters to 1980.
The bottom revolver is wearing original Magna stocks, such as Alan described. If your gun came with target stocks, they would look like the pair on the middle gun.
I hope you find this to be of help.
Regards,
JP
