Hey guys,

I know its been a while since I posted, but came across a 17-6 4" yesterday at the gun show without the full underlug. It looks to be high 90's percent, with a sharp forcing cone with original magnas and no box. Any idea as to value? He was at $950 but will take $900. GB completed sales seem to support this price, but I only saw about three. Thoughts?

That seems to be a fair, not low or high, price. It's a scarce gun, with the 4" wide rib heavy barrel, kind of a muzzle heavy model 18. Good luck in your decision.

Imo if you are just looking for a 4" K22 you could likely save some money by shopping around,
On the other hand if you are looking for a four inch 17-6 HB without the full underlug they don't pop up for sale that often.

I would believe that less than half of the dash-6 variant came without full lug and combats... however for it to be no full lug, no combats and 4-inch barrel with Magna stocks makes it genuinely scarce, at least in my travels.

He will take $900 and to that I will say exactly this:

Is this is good price, a great one, a steal? I have no answer for these but I can say... good luck finding another one if that's specifically the configuration you seek. That's a tough one right there.

I really wish we had numbers on these kinds of things.

I bought mine a few months ago at an LGS for $600 out the door. It did have Altamont grips and no box. They are out there.

Thanks for your insight. Its a nonstarter now as the deal fell through. Looks like on GB I can get a nice 17 or 18 for that matter cheaper.
