I posted a few weeks ago that I had picked this up at a local gun show. I just picked up some American Legend grips from another forum member and decided to try them out on the Model 19. Pardon the iPhone pics, but I was too lazy to drag out the camera.

I normally don't care for shinny guns, but the first thought that came to me when I saw your M -19, "Damn that looks good."

The top pic makes it look like it's got Magnaports!

A great revolver!!! I bought this one in '77 and still enjoy it. I carried it concealed for many years in a Bianchi Pistol Pocket. Mine likes .357 WW 145 Grain SilverTips.

PS: I have those same Pachy grips on my Model 66. They are really nice for carrying ---- maybe a bit thin for heavy loads but I like them.

Thanks fellas. I still have not decided on whether to keep it or trade it, but it is an absolute beauty.

You found my Unicorn! That was my very first handgun waaaaaay back in the old days. still looking for one, exact same. mine had beautiful finger grooved curly maple combat grips on it. just a beautiful gun! green with envy.

If you have anything in mind to trade for let me know. i have quite an assortment!

Well, I've always preferred fixed sights on my carry guns. I was giving some thought to trading it for one of my all time favorite duty weapons I was issued by one of my former agencies - a Model 13-3 3" Heavy Barrel. I was even considering a local offer for a Model 65 3". But the more I've thought about it, the more I've considered that I might regret trading it.

Beautiful gun Gonzo. I have one like it I bought from a buddy back in the late 70's or early 80's. For concealed carry I prefer the factory round butt grips with a Tyler-T Grip for maximum concealment.
