Anyone else like these things beside me? I found one about 6 mouths ago (not thunder ranch) and a sad eyed mustache got it away from me. It didn't bother me at the time as I have a 3rd model HE. But the @#%^&# Mustache has the gall to wear the 21 in front of me every time I see him. Nothing short of mayhem can get it away from him. I can't shoot him, something about laws & morals. I guess I still kinda like him, darn the luck.
Anyway, I still like the 21-4, it's almost perfect. If it only was a 5". There seem to be a lot of Thunder Ranch mod. out there, but very few with the small grips and no gold on the side plate.
Any comments?

Tucker Gun, Inc. (770) 493-9400 in Tucker, GA (metro Atlanta) has a nickel one NIB in the showcase, I saw it yesterday. There was also a classic model #24 with the short barrel and five screw frame on another shelf in the showcase.

I own a blued one. It's a ball to shoot. I've even given thought to carrying it as a CPL. Nothin' like a big old 240gr LSWC as a defensive round.

Well that just tear's it, ya gotta find another one! I really like mine, gold logo and all. Once I found a grip that suit's me to replace the horrid factory grip's all is good.

My 22-4 is getting a lot of trigger time, and on duty carry time. I don't have a 21-4, but it's 45ACP cousin has rapidly become one of my favorite wheelguns for carry use.
My next project is to get my hands on some of Buffalo Bores auto rim SWC and see how they shoot...

"TR" stocks are HORRID. Standard rb stocks w/ Tyler T-Grip is the only
way. Polished bronze is just perfect on a blued revolver. Anyone who knows where his towel's at will agree.

I just received a 21-4 Nickel a couple of weeks ago. It's simply terrific. A pal who HATES newer Smiths with the lock had to admit it's a great piece.

Bud's Gunshop briefly had the nickel version on sale at $499 so I had to do it.
They still have a few blued and nickel ones at around $575.

I bought myself a 21-4 for Christmas last year. The only things that would make it better are a 5" barrel and a gold bead front sight. I'm working on the sight. I slapped a tyler t grip adapter on it and ordered a shark skin pancake holster from Rafter S as soon as it came in. I carry for a CCW weapon when I'm in a wheelgun mood.

I have a nickle one and a blue one -- I love them -- the nickle one is one fine shooter -- I dumped the grips first thing -- but then I do that a lot -- a great buy

I had a blue one and a case colored one but you know the routine buy/sell/trade and I no longer have one . I now catch myself looking at the nickel ones on closeout at Bud's for 552 delivered. Blue one with bigger wood grip for 569.

I had the 22-4 first. It's now wearing stag with a Tyler -T and it's a gun I shoot almost every week. Both with ACP / moons and auto rim.

Next came the 21-4. It took me a while to warm up to a round butt N frame, but I liked the 22 so much, and my 3rd model .44 HE needed a new friend so I got the 21. I still did not like the round butt though. So one day I got to looking at a set of Jay Scott service style aged ivory looking grips, the ones with the wood backing, that I had and with some small scrap wood and gorilla glue, I had a set of RB to SB conversion grips. So I now have what feels like a SB model 21-4, with a Tyler-T and it now joins in on the weekly shooting match.

I like the fact my 22-4 feels just like my 21-4.

Now, if I could only find more Jay Scott grips like that!
