They kind of grow on you...

In 1977, that would have been a 2-week paycheck for me. Sheriff's deputies in East Alabama didn't get paid much.

Serial number on mine (above) indicated 1955. Letter says shipped in 1957. To Hawaii. Now in Oregon

Just curious, but did your gun ship to Honolulu Sporting Goods? The reason I asked is I have a 44 Target Model of 1950 that shipped to them April 20, 1954. It's the only gun I have (I think) that shipped to HI.

You will find the larger set of grips, the "Target" grips will be much more comfortable for shooting.
