Model 27-2 6" P&R Help

I can't tell from your photos exactly where the bulges are. I have a
25-2 with a bulge just in front of the ejector rod housing that I bought
a few years ago at a gun show for $225.00. It shoots just fine with
light cast bullet handloads as it is. However I have measured it and
think if it was cut to 3 1/2" the bulge would be completely removed.
So since I have machinist skills I am going to cut the barrel back to
3 1/2" when I get around to buying a small vertical mill that runs on
household current. I am going to mill flats on each side of the barrel
to remove what's left of the lettering. Of course since I'm going to do
the work it won't cost me an arm and a leg to pay some smith to do
it. Your gun might be a good prospect for just cutting the barrel back.
I saw a 27 or pre 27 that had been cut to 3 1/2" sell on GB for over
$800 a while back and the seller said it had been cut in his description.

That gun may be dangerous to shoot, but I'll give you $100 for it!
