Just picked this up yesterday.
S&W model 28-2 .357 mag highway patrolman, S serial number.
Could use a cleaning but still looks pretty good. Got it from the second owner who got it from his uncle who was the first owner.

Very nice. The HP is one of my favorites, and my 28-2 4" is always in the range bag. Just shoot it, wipe it down, then repeat that process over and over. Enjoy.

Nice HP! I just put money down on an early 70's -2 with the 4" barrel and I can't wait to get it to the range!
Congrats on a superb revolver!

I do love a Model 28 4" , mine has a red ramp front and a white outline rear that do not letter with the pistol.

Awesome, this is the first picture that I have posted on this forum, I am glad to see that it is exactly the same as the other Forum that I have a bit of experience with!

How do I post bigger pics like everyone else?

You can post larger photographs if you post them as attachments.

When using image hosting sites like Photobucket, I found that the forum software will resize my photos to a maximum of 724 pixels on the longest side. They always look larger in the "preview post" view, but then once they're submitted, they're resized to the smaller size.

Welcome to the Forum, and Congratulations on finding a classic revolver! Have you visited the Ultimate Highway Patrolman thread yet? You should if you haven't, its full of great information and pictures.
