Model 28 deal ????

msinc; welcome to the 'Model 28 Highway Patrolman Fanclub'! These old grey finished workhorses never go bad! I bought my first one at the tender age of 15, bought my last one a year ago. So I have owned at least 4 of 'em in the past 28 years! (Afew other Smiths and Colts and Rugers got in the way). Enjoy it! Dale

Now stop that! You're just rubbing it in. :D

Well.....O.K. you're right, but not rubbin' you guys, it's only because this sort of thing has only ever happened twice in 36 years of messing around with guns. 2 years ago I had a guy trade me his cased 98% condition great grandfathers DH grade Parker for an AR-15!!! Believe me, the entire other 35 years and 363 days I paid dearly for everything I have!!!!

I think I will see how good this thing shoots this evening and round up some real wood stocks for it. Thanks again guys.

Really???? Which one, the 28 or the Parker???? In all honesty, with my luck I am still sayin' the same thing.

You must be buying that froma PVT. owner, any SW in nice shape in 357 will bring that where am at. it wont last long!

You're right both times...it was a private owner and it didnt last long, I picked it up last night. I just never realized the following that the 28's have. It is a nice gun and I really like it. If it shoots halfway decent and I am sure it will I will say it is home for awhile. I do understand that had it have been a 27 two things about this deal would have been different...the price would have been alot more and if I had bought it anyway I would not have shot it in the same carefree manner and taken it to the same places and enjoyed it the same way.

In California a person can't find a M28 for $350. Heck I don't think I could find one for under $500.
Jump on it.
Howard
