An older friend of mine is looking to sell some of his guns. He really doesn't have any idea what the value is so I am asking here.

It is a model 29 no dash. Very good condition. It does have a wood box but one of the molded halves is missing.

I don't have the funds to purchase it myself but said I would try and help sell it for him. What is a fair value?

Thanks

Better pictures might help; looks pretty good though from what is visible in the photos. Does he have the original stocks tucked away somewhere? If they were cokes, and I think they would have been, its about a $500 hit to value if not there. Box has some value but don't really know what that would be. As a SWAG, maybe $1200-$1500 as we see it. Good luck.

To me, the lack of original stocks decreases value significantly on this gun. On a shooter, no so much, as I don't shoot too many guns with the original target stocks anyway. But, as a collector grade gun, it kicks it hard.

What would the original stock/grip look like?

Like these (Cokes):

But be careful not to confuse them with these (Diamond Targets):

Thanks, I will see if he has them.
What would the value be with or without the correct stock?

The box is about worthless without the inserts, maybe around $30. on Ebay.

If original factory finish ( the pictures look really nice, maybe too nice for almost a 60yr. old gun). I'd say being a four screw gun $1200.-$1400.
