I think this may have been one of the S&W "12 Revolver" series made back in the mid-nineties. There should be some sort of laser etched scene on the sideplate, but I can't remember what "The Attack" depicts. Seems like there was another one called "The Hostiles"?

They usually sell for what an otherwise similar but unmarked M29 sells for. Sometimes less. It was assembled as standard production item and did not receive any special parts or TLC.

I bought another one of the 12 Revolvers collection, a Model 27 called "Outnumbered" back in January. It's a very well built pistol and actually the "Outnumbered" pistols are a bit unusual for a later revision 27 in that even though it is a 27-5, it comes with a recessed cylinder. As for value, you might actually be able to get a better deal on it than a regular production 29 of the same vintage and condition. I bought my "Outnumbered" gun off GB for $700 plus shipping and it was in unfired condition with box and paperwork when I received it. Mine has made a great shooter for the range and if I still hunted I wouldn't hesitate to use it hunting.
BTW, the 12 Revolvers series was done in 1991. So the 29's in that collection will have the full endurance package on them.

Consider this engraved model 29 a shooter.....
I agree with the Kernel that revolvers from this series sell for less than the standard models without the engraving. I have been to several gun auctions and see these go for less money, even with the box and in new, unfired condition. A auction I went to 8 months ago saw the NIB revolvers from this set sell for an average price of $607 each, and that even included sales tax and a 10% buyers premium. I don't think you are going to see many non-engraved no-lock model 29 NIB revolvers sell in the $500 range + tax? In my opinion, this revolver has little to no value as a collectable S&W and should be considered a shooter, even in new condition. Enjoy it as a shooter only after paying a price for it that is in line with it being a shooter. Do not over pay for this revolver just because it is NIB and looks pretty.
