Well, if it's in good condition, you just bought a terrific gun. You won't find many people here saying anything bad about the Model 34. A little more information would be helpful ---- serial number, condition, any extras with it, photos, and price paid (if you are comfortable divulging that information), etc. That way, you'll get more information from the folks here.

I have one like you described, except it is a 34 with no dash. They are really neat guns and a lot of fun to shoot.

I think the person who owned it before me used it as a target gun, as it had a trigger shoe and after market target grips on it.

Good for you! I have one of the 34-1's. Not much to say... You can shoot anything out of it; LR, shorts, ratshot.

If the brass gets hard to eject, brush out the cylinders. If the cylinder ever binds up on you, clean out the recesses and make sure the ammo is fully seated/inserted. You won't have any of these issues unless/until you put hundreds of rounds through it in single session.

Enjoy!

I bought my first one in 1970 upon return from VN. Gave $105 for it. Still is like new.Last one year or so ago was nickle and boxed w/flatlatch-bargain I think at 800.

Since the OP is looking for info on his 34-1 4" I would not mind getting information about my new-to-me 34-1 4" s/n 93880. The price is not a secret since it was purchased on our wonderful Classified Forum. I paid the Princely sum of $775.00 USD. I jumped right on it when I saw it. Got the box also. {a big thank you to the seller}

I'd be grateful for any and all info.

It is amazing what you can do with a cell phone camera today. You can see the phone's reflection in the first shot. It is just amazing what they can do. There is my finger print on the 3rd & 4th shots that could land me in prison if it were a piece of evidence. And look at the grain chip out in the channel of close up of the left side grip. And I am no expert. A $15 tripod and a cell phone makes all of us great photographers.

I am just noticing that there is no real drag line.

Looking at my posting after a good night's sleep it occurs to me that I may have been rather rude climbing on another member's thread.

If so, I apologize.

And I look forward to seeing the OP's model 34. I am beginning to appreciate Nickel revolvers.

Plus, I would still like to hear anything about model 34's in general. They seem to have their own very loyal fan base and I am not sure why that is.
