Model 36 (as told me but marked mod 60)

A family friend who died recently left his wife a Stainless , 5shot snubby marked .38 Spl and described by him it appears to her as a model 36. Inside the frame mod 60 is clearly visible. It has rubber grips and is in fairly clean condition. Serial number is R3101XX.

Anyone who can tell me the appx. year and a value range?

No box or papers. Thanks in advance for any help.

It shipped in 1982. Probably about a $400 gun, give or take. Hope this is helpful.

Thanks very much. That helps me ballpark it for her. Just wanted to give her an idea as opposed to her relatives speculations of extreme rarity, LOL.

If it is indeed stainless it is a Model 60. The 36 was sold in blue or nickel.

I just traded for a nickeled Model 37. The guy I got it from thought it was stainless. He also thought that the KelTec P32 he got from me was the bee's knees.
