I have an old 1964 chief special that dropped and broke the hammer spur off so other than make it a bob I was looking for a new hammer and the ones I’m finding have no firing pin on the hammer they are just flat question is did they make different hammers later on with no firing pin attached?

The hammer itself is flat but it should have a slot where a firing pin nose is pinned on. Here is a picture from Gun Parts Corp. They show out of stock.

PD armor fitted one for me bobbed. He told m to keep the hammer and trigger together. He cautioned the sear needs to be fitted trigger with hammer. He had several years of SW training
