I made a trade (I regret) but ended up with a blue NIB M39. Still wrapped. SN 660XX
What's it worth?

flagman, I didn't get a PM if I was the one you were sending it to. We need more info but if it's new in the original box with all the original goodies I'm seeing like new going for $6-800. It nearly impossible to get a good figure to somebody on a forum. You'll get so many "I just bought one for $$$", etc. Most of those will be numbers will be from folks boasting their prowlness on getting steals. It depends more on how bad you want it. Are you willing to not shoot it? If not, buy a shooter. I'm basing my numbers I gave you on actual sales on Gunbroker.

Without seeing it, I'd spend no more than $200.00, hoping I could part it out.

Photos are real important!

A couple a hundred bucks at most.
:-p
Until photos are posted anyway.

Since it is outside the steel frame range... $250....ok maybe $600 but we really need pics.
Tough crowd!!! ;) Man, you guys are cruel!!! :p

That said, I do understand the skepticism that can come in when someone does claims true "New-In-Box" for a 35+ year old gun. We've all been disappointed at times by shady dealers and sellers who want to push the envelope on the definitions of such words as "new", "as-new" and "unfired", etc.

If this one truly is the real deal, I say $700 (+/-) is a fair price and maybe even a lot more with the right buyer. Such a fine collectible gun is certainly outside of my poor man's budget. Sure wish I had bought one way back when. :o
