Hi
I have a chance to buy a Model 41 from one of the guys at my range. Its a older one SN starts with A57xxxx.
It has a 5.5" Heavy barrel.
Are there any things I should look out for?
and what is the price range?
In Denmark used a used 41 costs almost the same as a new stock SW22. So I also want to know if its eaven worth it?
I will mostly be using it at the range.

Best regards
Dennis

The 41 is a competition target pistol. The SW22 is a plinker for shooting tin cans. In the US, depending on condition, the 41 sells $700 to $1000 used. The SW22 is $400 new.

I would buy this M41 in a heart beat if I was looking for another one. Very good price!

If you live in DK. Why not cross the bridge. There the model 41 cost roughly 250 USD for a normal condition.

Hi
The grip is a K.Nill.
And its nice to know that the A serial number is ok.
I think A57xxxx is older than 1984
I will get some more time with it tomorrow at the range.
I will try to take somme Pic´s.

If the gun fires well then I would buy it. CCI SV is the best ammo to feed it all the time. That gun should last you a lifetime as the quality is extremely high in them. The trigger is adjustable down to around 2.5lbs and up to around 4lbs going the other way. You will NEVER be sorry owning a M41. Also Dennis DK Welcome to the forum from Canada also.

Hi Guys. Thank you for the greeting and the help.
I bought it for 250$ with the K.nill grips on.
And I got 3 mags, the original grips, a shoulder holster and a case.
The bluing is pretty good. No blank spots and only one small scrat.
And i wrote the wrong SN: its A575xxx so it shold be from about 1980
Best regards

You should be shot for buying it at that price but we are all glad you did and are green with envy as well for the deal you got. "Good For You"

Dennis , you wanted help in buying a S&W 41? Can't help you now that you have purchased one. The 41 is a target pistol that has not been improved on in 60 years so it must be pretty good. The price you paid is very low by USA standards. I paid the exact same amount for 5000 CCI Standard Velocity rounds last week. Hope you enjoy your excellent purchase, for along time. You will not regret it.

Wow - $250 for a model 41. Congratulations!

Don't turn your back because I think the "sale police" will be coming soon for "stealing" the Model 41. Really a great find and with box and spare magazines too!

I have not bought a Model 41 due to the price, for the money I could have a nice 357 revolver, but at $250, I will take two!

I saved my pennies for years, nickles and dimes also. I own both a M41 and a Lovely Model 627-357. as well. I enjoy them both alot.

The Model 41 is an icon and for good reason, super high quality and just a cool pistol to own and shoot.

The older M46's are only a few doghairs behind in quality from the M41 as well. They do deserve Honorable mention as well.
