model 457 magazines

Other than the orignal S&W mag are there other mags that will work with the model 457 ? I look forward to hearing from all of you.

I have tried 645/745 mags in mine and they fit fine although I have never actually cycled ammunition or fired it that way. The longer mags also fit in my CS45.

My 4516 mags fit my 457 and vice- versa.

I have found mine to work the same way.

I've used magazines marked 4516 and 4516-1 in my 457 without problem. The only magazines I had problems with were two aftermarket magazines that wouldn't work double action.

I use the mags to my 4586 in my 457 with no trouble.

I've got about eight or nine factory 4516 mags and they all work in my 457. Good luck.
