I know that only a few pieces of this pistol have been manufactured. Is it different from 39? The mag is the same. What could be its value?

Hello procol, yes, very different from the 39. Mag is different. Value $850-$1200. All very short answers. Mike

Mike,
Thank you. The seller told me the mag is the same. Actually I expected it is more expensive as only 5 or 6 have been produced.

Maybe Im confused. Are you speaking of a 52-1 chambered for 9MM Luger?
All the 52s I have seen were 38 cal. wad cutters. If it is a stamped 52 and shoots 9MM Luger, I would guess you have a hybrid. Similar to a mod-952.

I know almost nothing about Model 52's chambered in 9mm, but where magazines are concerned, I can say this:

The typical 52 magazine made for the .38 Wadcutter will not function with 9mm unless it's altered.

Meanwhile, a Model 39 magazine will fit in to the magazine well of a 52. It will even lock in place AND it will defeat the mag disconnect safety. It is however an extremely sloppy rattle trap fit. You can tell easily that it ain't right.

And a 52 magazine will not fit in to a 39 or 639.

Exactly, the gun is clearly marked 52-1 and is chambered in 9 mm Luger.

Hello Piotr, need some pics! If the frame is stamped 52-1 and the chamber is stamped 9MM, then you have a hybrid pistol. Dont go away. Just send some pics. How does it shoot? Mike

Hello Mike,
How it shoots I don't know, I don't have it. SCSW 4 ed. says that only five (!) such pistols have been produced. My question is, is it possible to mount the slide and magazine from 39 to 52-1? I can't check it myself because I don't have 52-1 or -2.

Looks to me like a Model 39 upper on a Model 52 lower??

You don't have the pistol but you want to know if you buy it can you fit a 39 slide on it? Why do you want to know the answer to that question? Seems odd. Or are you interested in buying it and worried that the seller has put a 39 slide on a 52 frame? Or….?

From your side view pic on post #8, Im seeing a 39 slide with a 4" barrel. The front sight is a ramp style on a 39. The rear sight looks like a MMC after market sight. I zoomed in, and think I see a five digit Sn. XX264 -52-1? Now forward of the Model, I think I see a German proof mark? I also see a trigger stop pin, but the position of the trigger does not look like my 52-2. Did 4th edition mention the barrel length, 4" or 5".
Have not figured out the mag yet. The 52 mag may feed 9MM. Mike

I have a 52-2 with another slide that still has machining marks on it and 3 9MM and 1 38 super barrel by Barstow. All of the cartridges feed through the standard 52 magazine.
