I am looking at two pistols at an Estate Sale.

One is a 52-2 with 3 magazines. No box and a true 98-99% condition.

The other is a 5 1/2 heavy barrel 41 ( A Series) with 3 magazines .No box . and also 98-99%.

The seller of the estate ( whom I know) want an offer on both pistols.

They have set in a shooting box for the last 20 years.

He let me take them out , clean them and function fire them.

I have to make on offer SAT Morning on both.

I know my revolvers ..... But a little rusty on others.

Would like to know what You all think...

He said make an offer that is fair to You ( means ME).

Thank You .

I have seen both of these sell recently on GB for around a thousand a piece. Anything less would be a great deal.

S&W 52-2 (below A475000) as described $685 - $755 plus $100 for 2 mags
S&W 41 5.5" (with CI) $625 - $725 as described plus $30 for extra mag.

Correct boxes and paperwork would add $75 - $125 either
These are for a "fair" price to you - not full retail which would add $60 - $120 to the above

I agree with windypoint, these guns bring around $1,000 on the auction sites. Take off $50 to $100 for no box and accessiories. Therefore, anything below $1,800 should be a good deal.:D

I would think anything over $1400 is too much. They may be in good condition but they are basically more shooter pistols not collectables just shooters. Unless you are just desparate to have them. If you want them to shoot you can find the 41's for less than $700 and the last 2 52-1's I bought were $650 each. (I did buy them both maybe got a better deal because of it.) Tombeck has the prices right in my opinion.

Well, for the total for the package including all the extra magaines and all the fees , I am looking at 1500.00

If you decide to buy post pictures for us so we can admire your new pistols. I would most likely go for them at $1500 that is close enough to what I think they were worth to not pass up.

I have just recently purchased both ... paid 725 for the 41 and 1100 for the 52-2 but being in California... it costs more because we can only buy what is already in state.

I think the buyer would be getting a good deal at $1500 if both are in excellent condition.
