Model 57 & 58

How difficult is it to find "S" prefix Mod 57's and 58's and what's a reasonable price to pay?

I am not sure how much more you will pay. I don't even run across 57's and I can't even the last time I saw a Model 58 in person, S or otherwise. Personally I have never seen much difference in the N and S frame guns other than desirablility. My N prefix 57 shoots just as well as an S frame gun I would think.

I agree. My reason for wanting one of each in the "S" serial number range is that I am attempting to put together a collection of post war "Pre" model number models and the S prefix numbers are as close to a pre model number 57 and 58 you can get. The only problem is I never see any 57's or 58's. I guess they didn't produce many.
