Very minor issue. The left stock panel, as you can see, has a loose inner washer. Looks like it could be lightly peened to keep the black backing washer for the S&W medallion to be kept where it’s supposed to be. I believe as long as I don’t lose the backing washer thing I will be cool. If by chance I need to permanently need to keep it where it’s supposed to stay,I don’t know why, is there an easy fix I’ll need to do? This gun Serial number is N145303. I haven’t got it lettered, yet, but it was born in 1973.According to the big book. I love this revolver (thanks to a Forum member.) so it’s probably not an issue, right? I had my few N frames out this evening and I thought I’d ask yinz guys about the backing washer. I had my few serious revolvers out to wipe them down and did some measuring of their weights, DA/SA trigger pulls, and weights. I had to throw in the .327 Gp100 in, as it’s almost, give or take, just as deserving the same love as the S&Ws. Another subject for some other day. (It’s badd butt!), wicked accurate.
Anyway, should I leave the washer alone or maybe a drop of glue just so I don’t lose it, as I almost did this evening?
Thank you kmecjohnson! I love this gun!
