Model 58, refinished by S&W

I have 38/44 Heavy Duty in similar condition will the factory refinish or is it to old for tthem to work on?

I don't think S&W will refinish pre-War guns (say about 1945 or before.) You could check their website:
www.smith-wesson.com

Of course, there are other refinishers who will. Fords has an excellent reputation, from what I gather.

tom k, what was the turnarown time from smith ?

I had the Bright High Polish Blue done on an "S" prefix M29-2 which had a bulged cylinder replaced. They had to removed the barrel to reset the B/C gap so they polished and refinished with the barrel removed. It looks outstanding now.

Reworked gun is lower right. What do you think?
