Model 59 Holster

I'm looking for a IWB holster for my model 59 9mm but all the sites don't list the 59 only the 5904,5906 ect are they the same or is there a difference

The Bianchi 100 IWB might be what you want. Also, model 39 and 39-2 holsters will work.

My experience has been that holsters designed for the third generation S&W's fit the early generation pistols just fine.

I use a Fobus OWB and love it. I am pretty sure they make a IWB also.

Sure there is a difference: the M59 has a round trigger guard; then came the four digit series with the hooked guard; then they went back to the round guard. Ha! I was once told that Smith had became known as 'the gun of the month club', they had so many model introductions during the four digit model range. Aluminium frame, steel frame, adjustable sights, fixed sights, blue, bright, calibers, barrel length; it went on and on.

So: the round guard M59 will fit in all those holsters that include the hooked guard; just not the other way 'round. Just be aware of the barrel length you choose from them .

dont forgrt the interchangable curved and straight backstrap grips!!! a serious feature that most others have not figured out how to do it 30 years later!!! seriously, if the internet had been advanced in the late 80's early nineties so we could see first hand all the s&w offerings, many others would have gone out of business!! got doubts? dont. check out numrichs page of semiautos per manufacturer. see if anyone had ever offered more pistols than the 3rd gem line.
