Model 60 inforequest

There were limited runs of the 2" & 3" DAO guns made in the late 80s! These all had bobbed hammers. If you are looking at a gun with a hammer that will not latch in single action, don't buy it! ! ! This gun will need a new hammer and trigger. The single action sear is worn or has been tampered with. The hammers and triggers are case hardened which is only a few thousands deep and if that hardening has been removed the metal is soft which means the sear can't be repaired.

Thanks!!!! That is EXACTLY the type of information I was looking for. As much as it saddens me to lose out on this deal, I don't want any problem guns in my arsenal.

I called my friend to tell him I wouldn't be making the trade...and the reason why. He immediately remembered that the gun had been modified by the LAPD Armorer when he was on the job 5 years ago. He bought the gun off a retired Lt. and he simply forgot about it, so he forgot to tell me.

That looks EXACTLY like mine (an 87) - grip and all. Is it a "no dash"?
