Have a offer from a good friend to buy 2 model 60s given to him and his brother by their dad. One is a 1972 and the other is a 1976. He says they are both unfired w boxes, tools and papers. I will get to see them. His wife has asked him to start thinning out but he doesn’t have to sell them. What’s a fair price w/o overpaying or insulting? Appreciate feedback.

I would offer between $550 and $600 each--friendly but fair to both. They will have R prefix serial numbers, which began in 1969 at R1 and ran through 1983 at R332516.
