If you already have a finished challenged pre 18 its in the stars to happen !

I want to hard chrome a Model 18 also but waiting for a finish challenged gun to start with.

My own shooter K22 Cms are an 18-2 and a 4" 17-5 but their finish is fine and I just cant see refinishing a gun that has a good finish.

If your pre 18 has proud front site pins perhaps consider a refinish in nickel and you could leave the front site blue like they did back then, would look really cool on a 5 screw pre 18.

A SS simulation of the first Model 65 K22 CM might should have a SS rear site like the early Model 67? Found this pic of that Model 65 K22 Cm
