Hi, I'm new to the community. Would like to see if I could get help on information about the used police revolver I purchased. It is a model 64-5, 38 special, with a serial number starting BNR0. It is a square butt.

Hello there. Looking for some information on a build date. Smith and Wesson Model 64-5 BJE96@$. #421 stamped near the yoke of the cylinder. The piece was a Law Enforcement trade in and I would appreciate any feedback on when it was made and possibly where it served any active duty. Thank you. Kind regards.
