Hi, For the longest time I was debating which I should get a Glock 21SF or a Beretta 92G, then I saw her. A beautiful s&w model 645. I had spent a little bit of time on Google trying to find a 92G in 45 and my Google-fu isn't as good as I thought because I wasn't getting anything, so when I saw the 645 I snatched it up without any research. Turns out it was made 2 months before I was born which is pretty cool in my book. My question is, is there a way to convert it to a decocker only? I'm not sure I'm not sure I want to modify anything yet, but I plan on carrying it decocked and safety off like a 92G.

Hi and welcome to the forum! Congrats on your 645.

IDK if it can be converted to decock only, but it might be possible. I believe the safety/decocker assembly for the 4506 series will fit the 645. There is a special decock only assembly that is sometimes available. See the thread on that subject on this page.

It does require some machining of the slide though. Whether the 645 slide can be modified that way or not IDK. Someone more knowledgeable will chime in I'm sure.
