I've got a very nice model 645 that I picked up a couple of years ago. I like the way it shoots.

Wondering what other folks think of it, compared to a 4566TSW or maybe a Sig 220 in .45acp (my other two full-sized .45s).

Also have no earthly idea what it's worth. Did a quick check on Gunbroker and it looks like they've been selling for between $650 and $1,000 depending on whether it's got a box, tools, etc.

Anyone have a suggestion as to its current value where you live?

I'm modestly well fixed for .45s (there's a few others in the safe) and I might sell this one...or give it to one of my boys. I'm sort of upgrading the "collection" and I just added a 4006TSW CHP and Browning Hi Power in .40 by selling some of the safe princesses (not quite queens as I was still sorta shooting them).

I'm loathe to offload a Smith...but if I were to replace it with a CS40 or 4013, I'd have something in .40 to carry. (I was afraid of adding another caliber to the safe...I did with an M&P that was too good a deal to pass on and now, all of a sudden, I got a small herd of 'em.)

I had one of the pilot 4506 pistols, looked like an early production 4506, but the receiver was marked "Model 645", and I did not like it. I now have a couple of 645's, one for shooting, one for display, and I like the 645. It fits my hands well and is incredibly comfortable to shoot.
