Hey guys, just wanted your opinion on some good aftermarket grips for the 659. I think some wood on the stainless would really wake it up.
All the wood grips I can find for it are made by Hogue. I had my heart set on the checkered Rosewood but its almost too dark. Now I'm looking at the checkered Pau Ferro.

What do you guys think? Anyone know any other sources for wood grips other than Hogue? Anywhere I can get the S&W medallions in the grips?

Thanks

You can find wood grips for the 659 out there on the market. I tried wood grips on my model 659. The holes were not made to fit the 659. One hole did not line up properly. I sent them back. Then I ordered another pair, from another source off EBay. I was guaranteed they would fit. When they arrived, they fit OK, but one panel was cracked. I sent them back. I tried wood grips twice, and both times I had issues with the wood panels. I finally found a guy who makes plastic grips for the model 659, that look just like wood grips. They fit like the original black plastic grips, but look like wood grips.

I'm looking for some grips like I have on my 645.
I dont have any idea where they came from or what type of wood they are, because I got it like this in a trade. I really like them, especially with the medallions.
