I cant find much out about when it was made or some initials on the revolver. Any help would be appreciated I believe it was made late 70s or early 80s and was a service issue.
The serial Number is AFU4818 and the initials on the left side are DPR, perhaps Dept. of Parks and Recreation?

The plot thickens...

My Mod 67-1 also has DPR engraved in the same space. I received mine as a gift so my information on it is not complete.

My father was picking up a rifle from a gunsmith in Omaha probably in the late 90s, liked the revolver the gunsmith had on his hip and bought it off of him right there. It has a very tuned trigger and was the gunsmith's personal gun so I was told the initials were probably the gunsmith's. That guy retired and my father doesn't remember much more than liking the gun and buying it on impulse.

Now I wonder if it is some surplus gun the gunsmith purchased, tuned then sold. Or are those his initials.

Do you live anywhere near Omaha, Nebraska?

Some times DPR stands Dept public resources which is environmental agency. Like fish and game service

There was an old thread on DPR engraved Mod 67s on this forum and I think the HI Road I found on Google. Guess we're not the only ones with DPR marked guns.

The 67s were basically the Model 15, but in stainless. As fine a K-frame .38 special as you can get. Here is my 67-1, vintage of April 1978. I got it from the estate of a 100-year-old man who bought it as a house gun when new, and kept it unfired until he died - the proverbial "sock drawer" gun.

Congrats on your Model 67. The Model 67 was the best duty revolver I carried back in the day. Was extremely accurate and a perfect size carry revolver on a duty belt. Wish I still had it……
