Model 67 Combat Masterpiece

My current carry piece is a model 67 no dash.

It rides quite comfortably in an El Paso Saddlery Sky six holster. Just about right for a carry gun. Mine has CCSCPD stamped on the frame. So I am going to assume that it was a law enforcement agency gun at some point.

I always considered the Model 15 as the ideal .38 special revolver - that is until the 67 came along - its twin, but in stainless steel. I purchased one early on, but made a tragic mistake. I was just beginning reloading, and evidently mis-read my powder scale. The resulting rounds were way too powerful and bulged the cylinder. Still, the gun held together - I was lucky. I sold it with the understanding that the cylinder needed replacement. I really liked the 67, but I never found another one that rang my chimes.

Not too long ago, a 100-year-old neighbor of mine passed away, and the executor of his estate made me a great deal on his 67. He had purchased it new as a house gun, but apparently had never fired it. A check with Roy revealed that this 67-1 was shipped in April, 1978. It remains in perfect condition, and I'm pleased to renew my acquaintance with this very practical, handsome and durable revolver.

I bought a 67-1 in excellent condition on gunbroker about 4 years ago. Auction was less than 10 minutes old. Just stumbled onto it. Starting bid was $200. Buy it Now was $250. Needless to say, I hit the Buy it Now button. One of the best deals I ever got. Excellent revolver.

My daughter swiped my 67 for herself. /QUOTE]

Happiness is a smart daughter ,with good taste , and the skills to take care of and provide for herself.
You can live without it,,, she can live with it.

I hope my kids one day will want to take one of my guns, but I have enough to allow them to protect themselves while I still keep my favorites! They can have one of my holster worn PD trade in Model 10's to protect themselves. The 67 and 15 aren't theirs until I'm gone!
