I have a lead on a 940, I believe 4". I'd like to have the gun but I have no idea of the value. Anyone have some input?
Thanks

I believe that model was only made in 2 & 3 inch versions. The 3 inch discontinued in '93.

I have the 3 inch model and like that configuration.

Can't help much on current prices. Don't see them for sale around here very often. Bought mine fortunately before they started to regain some popularity & cult status.

3" Centennial Parabellum.

In 2008 I paid $700 for this example, as new in box with all, and was glad to do so...

Still unfired, I would put it's current value at about $1000.

This was only the second 3" 940-ND that I have ever seen for sale. 2" guns are common, but 3's are very hard to find.

I have shown it here with Magnas as I prefer these. It origionally shipped from the factory with really horrid rubber (Uncle Mike's I believe) stocks.

I actually like the factory stocks from a functional perspective. Bought my 3" 940 in Excellent in the mid-late '90s for right at $300...I think maybe a bit less...with the intention of turning it into a tuned carry piece. Quickly decided the moon clips were too fragile for my purposes and gun's mostly slept quietly in the safe since then. Pulled it out and shot it a few months ago. Great fun, shootable collector J-frame.

I have a 2" 940 no dash and have been looking for a 3" for some time. It is the never ending cycle of when I find one I have no money and when I have money, I do not find the revolver.

I have a 2", and it is a great gun and lots of fun to shoot, but with service grips will hurt my hand with it's sharp recoil. Putting better grips on it helps.

Thanks all for the input. I'm still on the "hunt" and will repost if I get there.
