by the way, the compensator is custom carver port comp

Chencho, that's a nice looking setup. The thing I noticed is that there is way too much heavy grease on the barrel. Try using solvent such as Hoppe's No.9 to remove all the grease from the entire gun. Then apply gun oil like Mil-Comm MC2500. If the gun works better after that, use quality gun grease like Mil-Comm TW25B and only sparingly.

The Carver Custom Compensator description does say the following: "When using the CARVER Custom compensator system, you will need to use a lighter recoil spring to allow for the recoil reduction and to allow your slide to cycle efficiently. Carver Custom recommends an 11-12 lb recoil spring for 9mm up to 135 PF. Major loads will require heavier springs." Apparently, the compensator reduces the recoil quite a bit and you need the weaker recoil spring.

Could you post pictures of the top of the frame with the slide off? We should take a look at what the ejector looks like.

Thanks for posting the pictures, Chencho. Your extractors look fine. I see one is an Apex and the other is a factory original. Your ejector looks alright except it's slightly out of alignment with the rail lugs. I've posted a picture of my M&P9FS for you to compare with. Maybe you could check to see if your ejector is bent by pulling out the sear housing and taking a close look.

Also, I see that your trigger return spring loop is positioned 90 degrees from mine and the spring looks twisted about four coils from the loop. I'm sure that has nothing to do with ejection but it's just something that I saw.

Have you cleaned out the heavy grease? Please let us know if there is any improvement after you use light oil instead.

Just throwing something out there.. I had another brand of gun that would hang up spent brass just like that.. After a long long time I finally figured out what my issue was.. My extractor was too tight and holding the case to tight and it slowed down extraction enough to cause this issue.. May be something to look at or play with.. I used a rotary tool and ground the extractor down till the round fit under the extractor without resistance.. My gun worked 100% for 20+ years from that point on and still does.. Good luck! George

thanks George, you are not that lost in the comment, the spirng is re-enforced and that might be "the" or one of the issues. Ill change the sping and let you know.
Also ïll check the ejector if its not twisted.
Thanks.

Yep good luck.. With the slide off the frame I use a case and slip it under the extractor to check for fitment. I'm sure there are better ways to check this. I always dismissed the tight fit because I thought a good tight hold on the case was a good thing when in fact it was not.I found that my fresh round was contacting the spent case do to the tight fitting extractor. In my gun the case was held in way too tight causing issues. I rarely got through a full mag without it catching a spent case..Now my cases clear the gun nicely. George

I edited this post because i said ejector in this post and meant extractor like in my first post.. But I think you knew that.. G

Yes, definitely do those two things. I would say they are the most likely suspects.
