You guys realize that the 15-22 section is the most popular forum on the entire Smith and Wesson forum by a large amount?
Imagine that, the lowly 22.
Whats that tell you?
I know what it tells me?
Maybe S&W needs to pay attention to its biggest fan base and start kicking out some magazines to feed its biggest supporters.

I think most all shooters are in bad shape right now ammo wize... except maybe people shooting shotguns cause that's mainly what you see out there... oh yea and 22 mag... luckly I'm ok in all my calibers but yea good for our 15-22 fourm... great place here

It tells me that all us .22 guys ran out of ammo and we're sitting around playing on the net while all the revolver/auto/.223 AR guys are out shooting.:D

Ding! Ding! Ding!

PS--> I ran outta .223 and 5.56 too... well, as low as I'm willing to get anyway. I refuse to pay $1/round. Just ain't gonna happen. When I run across a box or two at my local Wally World, I pick'em up and throw'em in the safe for a rainy day. Gettin' kinda dry 'round here though.

I managed to score .223 for about 57 cents/round couple days ago. Not great, but about the best I found for now. Got to keep on top of the gunbot site. That deal lasted about 5 minutes.

If they had a separate forum for the Shield model line that would be pretty popular (if they could ever get caught up with the back log. )

I still haven't seen one.

I love my 15-22, though.

Update
I just went to the main home page and I don't quite see how you figure this is the most popular forum.

There are several other forums here that have more threads and posts.

I've been a member of multiple gun forums and this one has by far the BEST members. That's why I enjoy it. Many others are filled with uneducated, racist, anti-Semitic hillbillies that hate LEO. The fact that a good chunk of members here are vets and LEO helps to bring about a better quality of discussion.

He is referring to the viewing statistic which would make his statement about the 15-22 forum correct.

For what it's worth, I came to this forum solely for the reason that you had a thread about 22 ammo which both my revolvers take. A ruger 22 lcr and a Smith Wesson .22 magnum. The revolver thread doesn't have a thread dedicated exclusively to 22 ammo. (at least I havent found it).

I didn't even know what a 15-22 was. Then last night I decided to check it out. I had no interested in this kind of gun. Well......now I kind of do. Looks like a great gun and a lot of fun.........soooo......yeah.....I'm thinking about one. And thanks for being nice to this revolver guy and helping me find some .22 ammo! My revolver brothers failed me. :)

I like it here too!
but I do belong to every type of gun I own forum

Ruger, beretta, SKS, Glocktalk, P38 ect....:)

Based on what?

The lounge has more posts as threads and currently more people viewing it.

Hand ejectors 1896-1961, revolvers 61-80, revolvers 80-present, and semi autos also have more threads and posts.

The new members introduction section even has more threads and posts.

I have plenny of 22 ammo and there is lots of 30-06 ammo available for my soon to have hunting rifle.
Choices are down to a Browning A bolt, Remington 700 and Weatherby Vanguard...either one that I can get at or below $500 smackeroos will be my new hunting rifle.

Haha this made me laugh. Anyway, I agree smith and wesson should pay more attention to their 15-22 market.

Unless I'm looking at something different, the Lounge has more viewers right now than this section????

Distracted by something shiny...or maybe evil and black...

Out of ideas...must be distracted again...

A lot of us here also do wheelguns, I have a Charter Pathfinder Target that I used as a trainer for my grandkids and a Puma 1873-SAA-.22 that I keep a Win-mag cylinder in just for plinking. We are a very eclectic bunch and a lot of the guys are very, very knowledgeable! One thing we all like to do is spread the word about how great the 15-22 is to shoot and own; either as a trainer/accessory mule for a regular AR, or as our only AR-type rifle, we believe we use the finest .22LR version of the AR there is. If you can, try one out and you may find something you really like! I know I did...
