Is anyone else letting the beard grow for Movember??

I am. Partially for Movember and partially because I am tired of shaving.

I've had the mustache since 1975. I'll keep it on.

I grow a goatee or as I call it "the goat" from late summer dove season to spring turkey season.

I have shaved only once since then in 1973 and then let it grow again ....

Started in October; keeping the stash trimmed but the beard has full reign. The only reason it's growing>>>>Shaving SUX!

I am not growing a beard. My beard is curly and kind of low in the face.

If I'd grown a beard I would look like him.

I'm having none of that.

Also. Even if If I only have very few white hairs on the topside of my head. My beard is almost all white.

Had a mustache since early 70's and a beard since the middle 70's. When the beard gets over about 3" or so, it gets trimmed down to 2" or so. Mustache varies also. Remind my wife not to trim my hair (Flowbee or similar) too much when it gets cold. All light grey to white for quite a while.
Around here in the Hills, I am considered to be trimmed!

I've had a mustache since after basic and a goatee since processing out.

No more AFR 35-10 for me.

I haven't seen my upper lip since 1967. I didn't grow the goatee until the early '90s, to mask a double chin. I don't think anybody was fooled.

I've never shaved my mustache so its been there for a long time.

I keep my beard short when I do let it grow. I shaved it off when I started doing some volunteer work at a hospital - I just thought it was more appropriate.

Now I'm letting it grow again but once again I'll keep it short - like about 1/4".

"Movember" is pretty popular out here. Even several police departments allow their officers to grow beards.

I am doing the Movember thing again this year. We also, as some have pointed out, call it no shave November. I like dragging others into it with me so we have a small group from our church doing it too. My pastor and 2 other guys. We had our 40th Homecoming on November 4th so I shaved that day with plans to let it go after that. One of my no shave buddies stopped me and asked me in serious tone had I forgot our deal. I have tried to get some of our older members to join in but they will have nothing to do with it. Two were career military men that are both 76 years old and I have never seen either one go a day without shaving. I always have illusions of letting my beard grow out super long but never quite follow through on that part. I did shave it off too early last year as we had a super cold winter by NC standards.
