Movies for revolver fans

Both Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez are revolver fans. In Deathproof (Tarantino), one of the heroines uses a Smith snubby (probably a 60) to shoot Kurt Russell. In From Dusk 'til Dawn -- one of my favorite films -- (Rodriguez) George Clooney carries a revolver that he refers to as "Mister .44", probably a 4" 29, although it could be a 22.

Love this movie-especially the Salma Hayek scene :) The .44 he uses is actually an Astra Terminator From Dusk Till Dawn - imfdb :. guns in movies :. movie guns :. the internet movie firearms database

Does anyone know what revolvers the Milla Jovovich character wields in Resident Evil? Just saw the latest sequel and she whipped out those wheelguns a lot during the movie and man, she is amazingly hot :D

The Assassination Of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford

Jesse gives Bob a gift in one scene of a S&W New Model No. 3 in it's box. It looks beautiful in the movie. Bob later uses the gun to blow Jessie's brains out.

I read someplace that all of the guns used in the movie were made by US Firearms and that Brad Pitt liked them so much that he bought them all at the end of filming. I never hear too much about Pitt as a gun guy but I guess he likes them.

Lord Humungus was certainly fond of his scoped Model 29....

This is "The Road Warrior", for the kids here.....

How about the film In Burges? It has a scene where Colin Farrell pulls a gun on a guy, and then is told it's loaded with blanks. He rushes the guy anyway and shoots him in the eye with the blank.

What do you guys always say about in debates about "stopping power"? It "took the fight right out of him."

Really any John Wayne movie - but it seems this thread has a much more modern feel to it.

So how about these two:

Looks like Duke will get a finger blown off in that first picture, holding that Python with a finger in front of the cylinder gap!

John

I may be wrong, but I think the gun used on Russell in "Death Proof" was a Charter .44. I forget now why I think that, not having seen it for some time. (Tarantino likely wishes more people had seen it--period!)

One of the best revolver scenes was from the beginning of "The Wind and the Lion". The anonymous gentlemen tool careful aim before running a bit short of ammo.

This was a great scene indeed. John Milius directed.

I also liked a movie called "Flashpoint" with Kristopherson as a border patrol guy.
