MP15/22.Com Barrel Adapter

I got the one from tacticool22.com. Not sure if it is the same one from mp15/22.com, but the description is similar. The quality seems very good for the price, the threads are perfect and it fits well. It does use a set screw and it does leave a little ring on the bottom of the barrel if you take it off, but its hardly noticeable. The one thing I don't like is the outer diameter of it is a little bigger than the outer diameter of an A2 flash hider which makes it kinda noticeable.

It would be nice to see one of these installed but probably wont happen since its not much more for threading with belt fed

James, if you could post a pic, it would be most appreciated. I am seriously considering the adapter, but don't want the OD to be much more than the flash hider.

Is this what you're talking about?

From users c_jit's post in the picture thread.

How about this one? The ring that is left from the set screw will be machined away if you get your barrel threaded. BELT_FED and I are not associated with each other. We are in completely different parts of the country. Doing different things.
I support everything he is doing, and wish him the best of luck. With the apparent quality of his work, he really dosen't need any.

Totally off topic, but in the second picture/catagory down what kind of front sling swivel is that on the bottom of the rail?

That is a Tactical Sling Adapter & Attachment for Picatinny Rail from FAB DEFENSE in Isreal. It is the cleanest smoothest mount I have found. They even threw in a sling. Some people got the sling and a wind up flashlight.
If you want to use a standard sling, you can't beat it.
I'm going to make one for a QD sling swivel if there is any interest.

Quick question for you guys on this adapter.

Is this just a sleeve that a flash hider screws to on one end and then the sleeve slides over the barrel till it butts with the end of the barrel or flash hider?

If so what would stop somebody from NOT sliding it all the way to the end of the barrel (muzzle end) which would create a gap in side between the muzzle and the end of the adapter.

Wouldn't that be considered some kind of suppressor? Thats why threading the barrel would be s safe way to go, to me! I would hate to make my gun illegal.

I maybe all wrong here too. This is just my take by looking this over.

I found the website but you can't "add to cart" or "buy now" anywhere I can find. I also did a web search and didn't find any. Where do you buy these?

The web site is up and running now. There are some bugs to work out still, but it works.
As far as the tiny bit of a gap that might be there on pupose. It will not make the rifle quieter, so I doubt it could be considered a suppressor.
Hey BELT_FED, any input????? What about gaps, cavities, sound, Etc.
