Music You Enjoy

Canada's worst mining disaster took place in Alberta in 1914, when 189 coal miners perished. James Keelaghan commemorates that tragedy in this brilliant song...

I like a lot of different music and I have spent good money on high end
car audio systems to listen to it.

This does my heart good.
Music takes me places that make it hard for cancer to survive.

This was just this morning.

The band Cardinal Black has been around for some 20 years in the UK, but just release their "debut" album at the end of October(?). It's called "January Came Close". It's hard to pigeon hole them. Sorta mellow, rockish. Strong vocals and stellar guitar work. Tight all around. It's hypnotic. Give it a test ride. You're welcome! Koz.

I have very eclectic tastes in music...I like everything except rap and opera...and I've been listening for years to what is generally called "world music", or the folk music of other countries.

Sona Jobarteh will be profiled in a 60 Minutes segment tomorrow night, Sunday, November 13. She's from Gambia, and plays the Kora. (She also uses the proceeds from her musical career to fund a school in her country.) I've been listening to her for a while now, and she's just brilliant...for something different and beautiful, tune in the show... :)
