I've always had a soft spot of shotguns in that size, especially over/under and double guns.
I hope it shoots as good as it looks.

Man; that's a bute. I didn't know S&W marketed a double. I'm assuming it was made in Europe. The styling and quality are outstanding. I have a Beretta Silver Pigeon 12 GA over&under and I probably need one like yours now. Versatile as well; pheasants, ducks, geese & weddings.

Got to love a 20 ga. SxS and grouse.

very nice looking shotgun, sir.

I have a question:

Do you have any idea where these are produced? I was wondering if they are made in Turkey by the same company making the CZ shotguns.

Thanks.

The Elite Silver and Gold are beautiful guns. Has anyone heard of any selective trigger problems such as with the new Beretta BlackWing? And is the Elite mechanical or inertia, regarding the trigger? At $2300 I'm not sure I would take it to the field what with my 1983 Model 1000 still going strong. I am glad to see Smith back in the shotgun business.

Also, you may regret selling that Browning. Beautiful craftsmanship.

Don't do it man, don't....!
The BSS is my favorite shotgun, not that I've had lots of experience, but man my 12 ga is the most comfortable using shotgun for me - even used it for trap for the past few years (not the best choice by any means, but it fits like an old shoe....

Been informally looking for a 20ga for years, but started after they gained in popularity (read: they got expensive...)

That is one beautiful shotgun. I have wanted one of those S&W doubles since the first time I saw one in an article. I can't imagine a more classy bird gun!

Three answers.....
The S&W is made in Turkey in its own plant. Fit and finish rival guns that cost 3x the money.

I shot some trap with the S&W this week, just for laughs. Love the gun. I was amazed. It broke as many birds as my trap gun. Quite after pulverizing the first 15. The triggers are not selective. Right barrel shoots first. To start with the left, you must pull trigger once then shoot.

Anyone interested in the Browning,, let me know. I even have a NEW fitted kid-leather case for it. I would use the case for the S&W, but the barrels are too long on the new gun.

That is a sweet little shotgun there. I used to lug around a 12 ga all the time myself until I came across a nice little Antonio Zoli O/U with 26 " bbls. After that I picked up a Ruger Red Label in 20 ga. I've killed everything from doves to decoying geese with my 20's. I have my grand pap's Ithaca 16 ga SXS but its more of a keepsake. I get it out once a year and shoot a few birds or bunnies with it. I may have to look into one of those 20 ga SXS's.

I have some horrible news.....
The extractor on the right barrel broke on the S&W. I took it to the gun shop where I purchased the gun, and they knew I had a good relationship with S&W, so they returned it for repair, rather than fix it in-house. Apparently, S&W did not have the parts, so they sent me a new gun....
The new gun was just plain UGLY. The fit to the receiver was poor, the checkering was almost amateurish, and the wood grain looked like a polyurethaned Daisy pellet gun. I asked for the return of my gun, but was told that by sending me a replacement, BATFE requires the destruction of the old gun. That's it, my gun was destroyed. The factory told me that they would try to find a gun as nice as mine, but no promises. They did say that they will refund my money. I guess that I will keep the Browning.
