Your photos aren't that bad and the guns are just fine. That 4" is the image of the one I bought new in 1973 to start my law enforcement career.

Very nice Bizio

Your 1972 model 28 is a twin to mine also made in 1972! Same guns, miles apart. I have seen some of your other posts. Very nice taste in firearms you have there. You mentioned once the price difference in firearms. I am curious, how much is a box of 50 44 magnums in Italy?

Very nice! I assume the markings on the 4" are import proofs.

Correct. The guns are officially checked and marked in Germany or in Italy. One printing is also due to our official catalogue.
I will post detailed imeges soon.

good looking 28's

Bizio, those are some good looking 28's that you have there. I'm glad that I could help you out. I would imagine that in your area, those HP's are pretty rare. Now we need a range report ;)

Happy holidays.

Hi SAFireman.

Yes, all S&W old models are a bit rare here, especially if kept in very good conditions.

As for a Range Report ... I can't use them due to our stupid italian laws
We can have here 9 guns/rifles that we can bring out of home to go to shooting place.
Any other extra gun/rifle must be included in a special "Collection License" and we can't bring them outside home and not even keep ammunitions for those models ...
unfortunatly I had to chose among the list and those two 28-2 models went into "Collection License", so no way to use or test them at all ... sad but true.

Just for shooting I kept:

model 686-5 6" 357Mag
model 29-2 8 3/8" 44Mag
model 17-3 6" 22LR
model 25-5 6" 45LC
model 14-2 6" 38Spl
model 27-2 5" 357Mag

and

Anschuzt 1903 22LR
Berretta 76 22LR
Sig-Sauer P226S X-Fixe 9X21IMI

That's all ...

sad....

Bizio,

If you ever make it into Texas, I have both 4" and 6" Highway Patrolman models, and I would be happy to let you shoot them both.

I feel badly that the laws there are that restrictive, but I guess that it won't change overnight for you guys....

At least you can own them, if nothing else...

Happy holidays

Thank you, SAFireman, you ara a real friend :)

Yes ... laws here are severe and restrictive and we are waiting for even harder times.
A limit has been also fixed over gun powder we can keep ... 5 Kg (176 Oz.) is the top and not more than 200 rounds of any kind.

It must be painful to live in a place that restricts your passions. If you ever come here, I bet there's a ton of members here who would gladly let you shoot everything your heart desires.

+1 on that 4thUSMC! I too own a 4 inch m28 as well as other S&Ws (and Colts and Rugers and Charter Arms) and would welcome Bizio anytime!
Nice 28s buy the way!
Happy Holidays, Dale

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!
Every day, I thank God I live in this country!

Interesting post. Beautiful revolvers. Very sorry for the conditions in which you must live. Thank God that here in the United States, the liberals have at least to date been prevented from destroying our right to keep and possess and use and enjoy our firearms.
