I've been so happy with my M&P 9, and now my 2 week old Shield that I took my beloved p3at and one of my Walther P22s (S&W) to trade toward a Bodyguard. Now to familiarize myself with it until my next trip to the range next Wednesday. I sure miss the days in the Ozarks where I didn't have to leave the back deck to fire off a few rounds. They frown on that sort of behavior here in Sun City. From what I've experienced with the BG so far, I'm impressed--I just hope it shoots as well as my other two M&Ps (and expecting it will).

Congrats on your new M&P, I love my Shield and am thinking of a M&P FS9mm to go with it! "_ I already have a F/S Ruger SR9E 9mm so I do not really need it But :O

Happiness is guaranteed with a new M&P.:)

I'll never live anywhere I can't shoot out my back door. Shot the Shield and FS 9 today in fact at my steel targets from 10-50 yards. I really like the FS9 with the Apex trigger and was hammering the 8 inch steel plate pretty good all the way back.

I might be headed that direction too but I'm the opposite. I started out with the Shield 9 NS and I'm just salivating for the M&P9c maybe even a M&P9 FS if I decide to trade my Beretta FS which I hate to do since I've had it since 1991...decisions..decisions..

Made that first trip to the range with the Bodyguard (also took the fs and Shield). Put 60 rounds through it, mostly wwb but also a few Remington 88gr JHP and Fiocchi 90gr JHP all without a hitch (as were the 50-60 rounds of wwb through both of the others). Got to say that the trigger on the Bodyguard IS a little different from the other two but I actually did (after the first shot) put the rounds through the paper. Not too different a trigger from my p3at; a longer pull that doesn't stage but a very smooth long pull. It may be a little early, but after only 60 rounds it is in the carry rotation with my full confidence that it'll perform if and when needed.

A good day at the range for sure.
